Description
Quince is a graphite pencil drawing by Deborah Burns. Quince is a hard, aromatic bright golden-yellow pome fruit. It is similar in appearance to an apple or pear. The ripe quince fruits are hard, tart and seldom eaten raw. They become sweet and luscious when cooked. Quince fruit is normally processed into marmalade, jam, jelly or alcoholic beverages. Quince is believed to predate the apple. There are many references about fruit throughout time, such as the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden which is said to refer to quince. Whatever may be, quince is a very interesting fruit.
